Saving Grace in Your Face

Saving Grace in Your Face

Why do people cast stones when they live in such fragile glass castles built on sand?

Judgment and prejudice are like rancid cancers, they devour our souls from inside out

Is the wisdom taught by the greatest man who ever walked so hard to understand?

…A man who died in the name of what love, tolerance and grace are all about?

When HE walked the earth men cursed HIS love and spat right in HIS face

HIS dignity never faltered, for HE turned his cheek and offered up the other

When those versed in the law tested him, HE taught the only saving grace

Is to love God, the Son, the Holy Spirit and every man as your own brother

To judge a person for whom they choose to love as a mate for life…

This is no mortal man or woman’s right… to magistrate or- just as wicked- to condemn

Be the life choice either woman to woman, man to man or man to wife

For there is only ONE who has the power to judge and that only one is HIM

Could it be you presume to believe someone is living a life you don’t agree is “right”?

Evil condemnation and self-righteousness hatred rise up inside your “holy” chest…

Contemplate what HE did state you must obey if you want HIS mercy to ignite…

LOVE is HIS greatest lesson and ONLY decree; HIS love flows free-ly and to all is manifest

HE never stated that any ONE “so-called sin” was more offensive than any other of the “sins

that you sin each and every day; Except but ONE and that is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost

So if you feel the desire to judge another for their lifestyle or whatever else to you just may offend

Be very careful, for judging seems to me [if not to BE] extremely close to blasphemy; the ONE HE HATES the MOST.

About sharonsharinginsights

Namaste'! I write poetry, stories, essays, reviews, editorials, screenplays, lyrics.....you get the idea! I love to write. I graduated from UI&U in Vermont, U.S. with BA in Writing and Literature with a concentration in Women's Studies. I was chosen and interviewed as local artist for my writing on local online college magazine HOWL (circa 2003). My writings have been published in several genres and I have won numerous awards for my poetry. I am desirous of having my own collection of poetry and/or other writings published in my OWN book. I am passionate about women's issues, romance, love and a great number of benevolent causes. I am pretty passionate about almost anything that is NOT mundane or boring. I write from my soul (cliche' I know). Most of my work has been published and/or copyrighted (all either or both). My goal, again, is to publish a book of poetry, short stories, a novel, novellas, another song (collaborating with someone who writes music...hello, out there?)....OK more later, and thank you for checking me out!
